The iPhone Plus comes with the same 12MP camera and a 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.8. As the iPhone 7 Plus has the dual camera you can use the Portrait mode in iPhone 7 Plus. This time Apple has added a new type flash tone. They have called this flash as quad-LED True Tone flash which has slow sync. Useful for low-light imagery.
On paper, Apple has not improved the camera hardware but Apple promises major photographic and video improvements from the iPhone 8 due to the Bionic A11 chipset. They have claimed that iPhone 8 low light photography will be better. So let’s wait and see
The video department has a different story. Now you can shoot 4K @60FPS on the new iPhone 8. In iPhone 7 Plus you can shoot 4K videos @ 30FPS.
Apple iPhone 8 has a 7 megapixel, f/2.2 camera on the front which is identical to the iPhone 7 Plus.
So on paper, there are minor improvements but Apple has claimed major improvements so let’s wait and see the camera performance in real life.
